It’s Smooth Sailing With Our Unique Process
Our thorough design, installation and follow-up process is second to none. From the minute we step foot in your home until the minute we’re confident it’s “all systems go” for your new unit, we don’t leave a single detail to chance.
We measure, test, measure … and then test again.
Extensive Tests We Perform
Design Phase
-
Heat load testing
During heat load testing, we create an artificial heat load to make sure your new unit will be able to heat and cool your home efficiently, effectively and affordably.Contractors who don’t perform this test run the risk of providing you with a system that is the wrong size. An improperly sized system, whether it is too big or too small, doesn’t run efficiently.
-
Blower door testing
We measure your home’s airtightness, which is how much air is seeping out. We mount a powerful fan in a temporary airtight frame to one of your exterior doors. Then, we conduct a depressurization test in which the fan pulls air out of your home, which lowers the interior pressure and draws air from outside through unsealed cracks and openings into your indoor space. We use a pressure gauge to measure how much air the fan pulls out of the house and how much air comes in through the openings. Our results help us determine if there are cracks and openings that should be sealed to reduce energy loss—and eliminate high utility bills.
-
Duct leak testing
This test uses a calibrated fan to measure airflow and a device to determine the pressure created by the fan’s flow. During the test, we seal your registers and returns, except one. This allows us to determine how airtight your ductwork is and to seal up problem spots.
Performance Testing Phase
-
Refrigerant leak testing
Harsh temperatures, vibrations and imperfect joint fittings and welding points all can cause refrigerant leaks. Our sophisticated detection equipment pinpoints these energy-wasting leaks.
-
Drainage testing
Clogs in the drainage system of your cooling and heating unit can lead to water damage and throw off humidity levels in your home. Our thorough testing will get to the bottom of these and other problems.
-
Airflow verification
Once your system is up and running, we will return to conduct additional tests to verify that airflow is optimal. Follow-up inspections after installations? Who does that? We do!
-
System efficiency ratio testing
Using our state-of-the-art testing, we’ll make sure your heating and cooling system is operating at maximum efficiency.
-
Delivered system capacity testing
This is yet more testing we perform to make sure your system is working up to speed and delivering the comfort you need—and deserve.
Our Top-Flight Promises and Guarantees
Quality & Affordability Promise
Replacing your comfort system is a major decision—and a big investment. We make it a priority to protect your budget while still achieving your comfort goals—whether you are paying upfront or require competitive financing. As an authorized dealer for Trane and other highly rated manufacturers, we include a three-year warranty with all installations. That’s two years longer than the industry standard.
5 Industry-Best Guarantees Promise
We’re so confident in our ability to provide customers with attentive service at competitive pricing that we back our work with comprehensive guarantees. Our guarantees are first-class!
-
Upfront Pricing Guarantee
We believe transparency is the best way to build trust. So the price you are quoted is the price you will pay. No surprises. No hidden costs. No increase in your fare. We will honor this guarantee even if we encounter rough pockets in the course of your heating or cooling service that require additional work.
-
No Breakdown Guarantee
If your new system takes a nosedive during the first two years after installation and you’re without heat or AC for over 24 hours, we will fix your equipment for free. We’ll also give you a $300 check to help compensate for the inconvenience.
-
Cleaner Home Guarantee
Our installation squads always treat your home with the care it deserves. We use shoe covers and lay down drop cloths in all work areas. We also do whatever we can to protect your floor coverings, furniture, walls and doorframes. We promise to leave your home neater than we found it. If we don’t, we will pay a cleaning service to tidy up your entire home.
-
Total Comfort Guarantee
Your comfort is our top priority. If you are not 100% satisfied with our high quality products and superior service, we will do whatever it takes to fix the problem—even if that means replacing your system at no extra charge during the first year. (Upgrades are not included.)
-
Right Size Guarantee
We will carefully measure every room in your house to make sure your system is sized to perfection. When your system is too large, it will heat or cool your home quickly and then shut off, boosting your energy bills and prematurely wearing out your system. When your system is too small, it will work overtime to try to maintain the right temperature—without success since it is not powerful enough for the job. The team at Comfort Squad will recommend a new system that’s sure to be the ideal traveling companion for you and your family.
